my First Tattoo
This was the day after it was done, minutes after the bandage was removed. if you look carefully, you can still even see the residual glue. It says Baraka Bashad and that’s ancient sanskrit for "may the blessings be"- my intention for my adult life. I got it on the last day of high school as a symbolic thing. I love it to absolute bits and pieces. The blue star rising behind it represnts my life- a rising star. (Get it?!)
The font is my own hadwriting, hence the left leaning k, as my k’s are written in real life.
That milky halo around the lettering is long gone. And now that it’s fully healed, I think the blue is ever so slightly less vibrant, because summer happened and my skin got even darker, which darkened the tattoo. But now that I know, I’ll be more dilligent with sunscreen.
