Kevin Gates shares the meaning behind his face tattoos, and reveals that all of his ink comes from a place of pain. He explains that all of his tatts have a specific meaning, including the soldier sign on his forehead that many people mistake for a cross, and tear drops that he says mean “forever in sorrow.”
The conversation then switches to Kevin’s rap career, which he said began when he was released from prison in 2011. The XXL Freshman recalls that his fan base really showed him how big he could go in the rap game, and adds that his story has really inspired fans, even driving some to tears.
